Living in the northern tropics you cannot help but get mould on just about everything in sight only been up here for 12 months and the smell from it - it is worse than an ashtray and I smoke! I mainly have it on the bed in spare room (only noticed it yesterday) and on the shoes (leather, suede, rubber) you name it all the bloody shoes. How do you prevent it (even though it would be hard) living up here its always raining and very humid and how do you remove the bloody sh!t.....

Full strength white vinegar works excellently -it's cheap and environmentally safe. It works well in bathrooms too and on that winter time green algae on decks/patios.

try keeping fans/air conditioners on to move the air. Also try using a moisture absorber such as baking soda.Check the laundry aisle of the supermarket for specialist products to absorb moisture in wardrobes etc good luck !!
