We use Hardboard of 2mm thickness in construction to make the ceiling under a zinc roof. Is the particle baord same thing?

Hardboard is probably what I call masonite--impregnated with phenolic resin for strength. Particleboard is sawdust held together with glue. Don't interchange the two; particleboard will sag over time.

BE FORETHEY TILE (waterproof) PARTICLE BOARD IS ODDS &ENDS OF WOOD GROUND UP AND GLUED IT SOLD IN 4x4 SHEETS USED FOR MANYTHINGS
