This site has a lot of plant info, and I checked for "bog", which sounds like your planting area.

Astilbe like moist shady areas. They come in a few different colors.

Ferns, palms, any fern they love the damp and moist any tropical plant they thrive in the rainforest.

HOSTAS!!! they do great in shady wet areas. They have beautiful flowers too.

if you have a long summer season then a banana plant will work beautifully---- altho you will need to protect the plant in cold weather.

Impatiens would love that! They are very colorful & maintainance-free, and bloom all summer.
My great aunt called them her "every day bloomers", lol!
