We are contemplating tearing out the entire roof (it's a flat tar and gravel right now) and putting in a new roof with pitches and a different roof line. We'll probably use an average style of roof shingles as the covering. Does anyone know what would be a good estimate of the total labor and materials cost for doing this assuming we had a licensed contractor do the work? The house is around 1,600 square feet on a 5,500 square foot lot.
Thanks!

My house about the same size. Home Depot gave 3 estimates for the various quality shingle ranging from 10 to 12000 dollars. $79 each plywood board they may have to replace.
