I have heard you must bake them to kill any bugs before using inside for decorations. I want to paint them for next years use.

We have mold in our basement. Approximately what does it cost to have someone come out and remove it.

And, is there anyway to absolutely prevent it from coming back?

It resembles something from the cabbage family, only the leaves are purple at the edges. I wish I had a photo to show you. Sound familiar? Anybody know what it is, and can you provide me with links to picxtures, so I can verify this? Also, (and this is the whole point) is it safe for homeless people, whom I have seen eating it?

Appreciate the help!

The accented vivid red wall has white crown molding and the other walls are a parisian taupe color. The floor and verticals are a light hard wood while the kitchen is black with brushed stainless steel. Since there is red, white, taupe and black colors, I have no idea what color furniture would look best. I don't want any white furniture as our pets would dirty it quickly. I am looking for a color for the furniture that is contemporary and would work best with all the colors in the apartment. Any advice you could provide will be greatly appreciated.

I'm stoning a front porch with natural stone on a my new house, ie inner block / cavity / outter block + Natural stone (approx 6" in thickness). There is a gothic arch in the porch and my question is do you normally order a lintel wide enough to allow the stone to be supported by the lintel as well. Or does anyone have any other ideas.

My husband was trying to be helpful while I was gone. He washed some towels and put them in the dryer, but did not turn the dryer on. I came home 2 days later to very moldy smelling towels. I have washed them twice. They still have like a sour moldy kind of smell, but not nearly as strong as when I first discovered them.
Help!

White clothes are coming out of my dryer with stains that look like of brown lines or “streaks” all over them. I don't notice it when they come out of the washer. I've started turning clothes inside out so the stain goes on the inside of our clothes. I've checked the drum of the dryer for any noticeable stains and can't find any. The dryer is only 2 or 3 years old. Any ideas?

I have a toilet on the second floor, with no leaks, and pleanty of water in the back. When I flush, sometimes the toilet paper, etc. doesnt go all the way down, and you dont hear the "gush" sound of the toilet finishing the flush. Other times, it flushes normally without any problems. Any ideas?

more than one laundry hookup. If I were to build my own house I would have a laundry that had at least 2 washers and 2 dryers. Laundry could be done in half of the time.

I hear the animal over my head. I can hear it walking, hear it's claws. I know it is fairly large because I can sometimes see the ceiling panels move when it steps on them. One day my boyfriend lifted up a ceiling panel and saw an animal about the size of a cat run by. My apartment is pretty large. The animal is very active at night and this is freaking me out. I imagine a snarling wild thing falling down upon my head, attacking me with claws and teeth.
The thought of lifting up an panel and facing this thing eye to eye scares me to death. I have two little girls, ages 4 and 8 living in the apt too. I have told them it's a squirrel, that seemed the most innocuous. I have no idea how the animal got in the ceiling.

I am going to put ceramic tile, (most likely unless a good deal pops up on porcelin), on a concrete floor. I have scraped all of the old vinyl floor off of the concrete and have gotten almost all of the glue up with the exception of little spots here and there. A neighbor came over and told me that I need to clean the concrete real good before I start applying the tile floor. Is this true and if it is what is a good product to use?
