I've a 30 feet wardrobe in oak. Just wondering what color I should paint it and the furnishings to give my bedroom that classic gothic feel.

I have a whirlpool dryer that stopped heating up. I know it is the heating element, but where is it and how do I get to it? The model number is LXE7800W2. Maybe an online manual or something? I have been waiting for my husband to fix it for 3 wks, and I am sick of going to the laundrymat.

For the past few days, I have noticed banging sounds in the attic/roof area . I have cathedral ceilings in the house with very little attic space. It is minus 20 degrees right now, could that cause expansion and contraction, and would that cause the banging sound.

I need a new power outlet in the kitchen on an existing finished outside wall. I can put a small hole in the wall to insert a box. I can run the wire up through the wall from below. But I can not get inside the wall to nail the box to a stud, and I want to support the box somehow. How can I support the box if I just work from the kitchen side of the wall?

It smells like rotten eggs! Is there some household product that will help, ie baking soda, vinegar, hot water?

I was trying to bleed one of my radiators in my house today that hasn't been heating properly, and it just kept hissing air....no water came out. I tried several times, for about 20 or 30 seconds each time but still nothing but air. And the air that was escaping smelled a little gassy. Any thoughts on what might be wrong? Or should I have let the air keep running longer, i.e. might it still have discharged some water eventually?

I've seen many people using a booklet that has a single attachment point and has thousands of colors to chose paint colors for their real estate investments. I'm trying to find out where I can get one. Thanks in advance.

My husband and I want to install a 220V outlet in our utility room to run our dryer. I would like to know, how much it would typically cost to have an electrician install one?

We recently installed laminate flooring in the top floor of our house, but now after installing it we realize there are many areas where it sinks, even after placing a little extra padding over the deep spots, and it gives the floor a 'squishy' feeling.

Since we've already installed the laminate flooring, peeling it out and redoing it all is not an option for us, especially since it took us weeks to install. Is there an effective way to modify the laminate floor without having to remove the panels in order to fix the 'squishing'?

Ok here's the deal, i am looking for just a basic set of floorplans of ozzy's former home on 513 Doheny Rd, 90210... It's the best house i have ever seen in my life and i love the layout, plus i'm in to architecture. I have tried to get in contact with the company who built the home (Selko Structures) and ask them, i've sent about 10 emails, but have had no reply. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A COPY OF THESE PLANS??? Please i need help i am going crazy.

I had chicken boiling on the stove and I forgot to turn it off before I went to the store. When I came back the house was filled with smoke. How do I get rid of the odor out of the mattresses, walls, clothes, carpet and everywhere else?

There is a center pole, (have to open two half doors) the shelves are supposed to turn 360 degrees. Mine barely turn. The lazy susan is not the kind attached to a door where the whole thing swings out - the shelves turn around a center pole. trying to adjust the small screw type thing under each shelf does NOT make any difference.

I have a two sink set-up in my new kitchen. When I run water in either one and then shut it off, it makes a gurgling sound in the drain for quite awhile.
When one sink is full and I pull the plug, it fills the other sink with its used water as it drains.
Do I just need to clean a clog in the drain or is there something not right about the way the plumbing is set up? The house seems to have many DIY issues from past owners.
