This will be my first time moving into a new place of my own, and I have so much stuff and don't know what room to begin with. What room do most people start with when they move?

Within the past week, all of our houseplants are dying off. We have kept them watered and "fed". What in the world could be causing this?

I inherited a set of silver ware from around the late 30's in England.I wondered if someone might have a home remedy that will help me clean them,as they have been in storage for over 60 years.

I don't know anyone whose used them to build, so if you have, I'd love to hear your experience with them. Approximately how much per sf does it cost? On their website they have more standard home and nicer, higher end homes that we would be interested in. Any info on costs, people, quality would be appreciated.

Thanks!

My builder needed to fix my bowed garage. He can not find the same color brick. Can I stain a lighter color brick? How difficult is it?

I'm thinking about getting my bf a bouquet of roses for Valentine's Day. I've given him bouquets a few times for regular days, but I want this one to be special. How many roses do I need to get for a fairly large size bouquet? I was thinking of 30 to 50. Is that too much or too little?

Much to my annoyance, most of my work clothes (suits, pants, etc.) must be dry cleaned. How often should they be dry cleaned? How often is too often? The work I do is mostly office work, so it's not like I'm outside playing in the dirt.

My kitchen cabinets have this plain unopened wood area above the actual cabinetry. It actually looks like the retro version of lighted cabinetry most people use to display different things within. I am not into all this excessive clutter of Knic Knacs hanging in every area of space. There isn't much lighting in the small kitchen but I need some decoration that looks clean and simply yet sophisticated and elegant. Also, I am really clueless on how to decorate a section of the cabinets that extend over the kitchen bar area which is also apart of the kitchen/dining room combo. This massive wood area has left the place feeling undone. The two answers I am in need of will have to not include painting the wood!!

My shower gets warm, but barely, but by kitchen sink still gets very hot fairly quickly, as does my bathroom sink. My water heater (gas, standing pilot ignition) is fairly new, from 2002. This thing with the shower seemed to start a few days ago and with each passing day it has taken longer and longer for the water to get warm, and the max temp it reaches has been lower and lower. I haven't touched my heater since the fall, when I bled off some of the water as routine maintenance. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I just moved out of my apartment, and got my deposit check back in the mail and feel like I got screwed. It cost me 75 dollars for carpet deoderizing, but I was under the impression that if you lived at an apartment for longer than 2 years, when you moved out, they couldn't charge you for carpet because they have to replace it for sanitary reasons. Also some of the cleaning charges seemed excessive. Can anyone cite any official laws or anything to help me out?

I am interested in having a tankless water heater installed in my home, but have been told some conflicting information by different people. One tells me my 3/4" pipe should be ok, others tell me I need to upgrade to 1" pipe to provide adequate supply. I have a 70Kbtu furnace and a gas range and am looking to install a 120Kbtu water heater. My gas line is 3/4" and is 25 ft from my meter and has 2 90 degree turns. Should I be OK, or is there a formula I can figure this out with?
