In addition to the living space we are demolishing an existing single detached garage and replacing it with an attached single garage.

We live in Berkshire - whats the cost? Does that include VAT? Does anyone have any advice or recommendations?

Exceptionally grateful for any help - cheers

I've tried febreeze, wiping it down with lysol, and baking soda. But my freezer develops a horrible odor after a few hours and when you open the door it makes you want to gag. It's a brand new Whirlpool Freezer/Fridge thing. Less then a year old. I emptied the fridge and turned all my power off for a month while I was on vacation and now it stinks. Nothing is left in it to make it smell!! Please help!!

I have a large square coffee table that I want to do something decorative to. It is painted an ugly yellow at the moment, so I wanted to sand it and repaint it. Does anyone have any CREATIVE suggestions? I considered crackling or faux finishing, but nothing has jumped out at me yet.

I'm putting crown molding up in my house and the crown is 'brilliant white' while the base boards and other trim work around doors is a little 'off white'. Should I try to match the paint on the crown molding to the baseboards or will it look good if the crown molding is white?

are there other types of floors which require less maintenance? this kitchen floor, i feel i can never keep up with it. we take off our shoes so there is minimal outside dirt being brought in from that. but i use a wet-jet swiffer and also a scrub brush, but can never really get the floor clean, and then it's filthy again. it takes HOURS to clean! is there a better way? am I using inefficient methods?

Someone told me that it's just as easy using liquid nails or similar product to attach bottom plate to basement floor when framing as it is to use hammer drill or hammer gun. I'm concerned that if I do this over time the glue could lose its consistency and walls would become unstable.
