I have done this, you can buy a special Y- shaped piece that connects both ends of the top of the Y shape to hose from washing machine and dishwasher. The bottom of Y then is screwed to waste pipe. Ask in DIY shop like B & Q they should help you. I am a female with no experience and not much money so I have had to learn how to do little jobs like this for myself. The satisfaction I get when I manage to successfully complete the job in had is well worth the aggro doing. A man may do the job in a fraction of the time, and I am no man hater, I do however love proving I am not a helpless pathetic female

Correction to the previous answer - dishwasher are usually connected to the HOT water side. As for the drain, I'm not sure if there's a sink there, or if there's a garbage disposal, but if there is, most GDs have a hose barb that you can clamp the dishwasher drain to. In some locations, the building codes require an air gap, which you may have seen as a small chrome (usually) piece of hardware that pokes up through kitchen sinks. The purpose is to prevent dirty water from the sink drain from flowing backwards into dishwasher.

Put a T junction into your inlet to your sink taps they supply you with a flexable pipe to fit from the mains to the washer, then you cut into the waste pipe you can get a adapter to allow you to put the waste pipe into, the instructions for this are usualy in the washing machine if not invest in a Readers digest DIY BOOK

Easy. Buy a new waste pipe U bend with the two connectors. Buy two jubilee clips. Saw off the blocked connectors to suit your hoses. Take out the old U bend, mind the water still in the bend, and screwthe new one on, all plastic, no need for a plumber.
All fittings are universal so worry not, price in UK @£5...

Ideally you need the right connections to your water supply and waste water systems. It also depends on whether or not your machine is hot and cold or just cold only fill.
This site http://www.houseprofessionals.com/diy/plumbing/plumb_in_a_washing_machine.htm will really help you.
Whatever you do, test the whole shibbang for leaks before you put it all back in place! Best of luck :)

to connect the water you need to pop down to diy store and purchase two self tapping connectors one red (hot) one cold(blue) complete with hoses (unless supplied with washer ) screw the hoses on to washer
then connect the self tapping connectors these grip round the pipe and you screw the tap and puncture the pipe. THIS IS PERMANENT DO NOT REMOVE !!!!!!! and then the water is connected
to connect the waste you will need an adaptable u bend.
remove your old one and take that to the diy store and they will give you the correct type and size!!
good luck

You need the washer to be near the sink.(next to) easy then.change the u bend to one with washer inlet any diy shop and connect the waste from washer to it making sure you cut the end off if blocked to fit.then obtain two taps they are one for hot one for cold and you just screw them onto the corresponding hot n cold out of site behind washer or sink cupboard they cut into pipes themselves no water leakage. attach pipes from washer blue cold, red hot turn on taps, push washer back.(Oh well lets carry on) insert soiled clothes inside the glass door put either tablets or sachets in washer or powder in the right hand slot of the pull out draw turn dial to preferred number (I use No.4 and bold/conditioner) and stand well back when finished dry, iron and store. Oh don't forget to plug and turn it on.

If you're asking on here I wouldn't attempt it yourself as you obviously have no idea what you're doing. If it goes wrong the water damge could end up costing far more than it would cost to get a plumber to install them. If you install the waste wrong you can get dirty smelly water backing up into your machines xxxx
