The landlord says that any paint we use has to be a shade of white.. ie: Pale colors. The color up already is a weird clay color.. rather gross actually. We have a brown shaded carpet..splotches of darker browns and cremes...
My fiance prefers blues, I like neutrals and then a splash of color..such as cherry red, or burnt orange. We have a bedroom, living room, and a "reading" room to paint. All are fairly small.. bedroom and "reading" room are 10 X 10 feet..and the living room is 9 x 17 feet, with a weird corner. Our furniture basically matches the flooring.

I just moved into an old house.
When I am in the shower and somebody is at the sink, I feel the temperature changing a lot.
People often say this is a common occurance in old houses.
I want to know why it happens in my house and not in my bf's house which is the same age.
Is there anything I can do to fix it?

There was blood everywhere. Inside and out of my convertible. I also need help getting the blood off of my driveway, and the street. My neighbor is starting to get mad, and is threatening to call the cops.
Should I use bleach, or some commercial cleaner? Not really worried about the car, I'm drop it off at the chop shop tomorrow morning.

My house is brick so I can't take out a wall. And even if I got it in, how would I get it up or down any stairs since I don't want it on the main floor. Does anything come in 2 parts so it could fit through normal doorways?

I realize a microwave is $40 or so; it's not a particularly big deal. I guess I'm wondering if there is a chance of radiation leak or the microwave undergoing more structural damage; i.e., blowing up and killing me, my loved ones, or my neighbors. I've heard that the newer microwaves have devices that prevent from having damage, but 8 minutes is a very long time I realize. The Microwave was scolding hot, but I let it cool and it does still run / heat.

Should I dispose of it? Or since it still heats should it be okay?

I am planning on having a full out girls night with homemade recipe lotions, face care and hair care and I have the movies but I am not sure what would be best to snack on. There will be about 7 of us. I would also like to know if anyone knows any games we could play? Thanks!

I got nice new towels for Christmas. However, i have a set of old towels (6 bath, 4 hand, 4 washcloths). They are worn out and ragged. Is this the kind of thing to get rid of? Or just donate them to the Salvation army and get it over with?

My daughter was "cooking" dinner the other night, and left a plastic (nylon) cooking utensil in the pot. Then she left the pot on the burner and "forgot to turn it off." When I got home, it had been "simmering" in the pot for about 20 - 30 minutes. Is my new pot lost? Is there a way to remove the melted plastic from the pot without damaging it? I have already tried boiling water in it. I thought maybe if I got it to heat back up it would be easier to remove, but alas, it did not budge. Any thoughts?
