My daughter was "cooking" dinner the other night, and left a plastic (nylon) cooking utensil in the pot. Then she left the pot on the burner and "forgot to turn it off." When I got home, it had been "simmering" in the pot for about 20 - 30 minutes. Is my new pot lost? Is there a way to remove the melted plastic from the pot without damaging it? I have already tried boiling water in it. I thought maybe if I got it to heat back up it would be easier to remove, but alas, it did not budge. Any thoughts?
