Hi there,
Quick question: My bamboo plants keep dying all the time. I don't know why. They have water and everything. I buy them nice and green, they last for several months and then they suddenly for no reason start turning yellow, and then later black. Then they just sort of die off. Almost looks like they dried out, but that's impossible, cause they always have water in the pot. And it's always only one or two bamboos out of a bunch of them, like 20 bamboos and 3 start turning yellow. Why is that? Does anyone else have same problem? Please, advise. Tks.

I always thought one side was for the white wires and the other for ground on an electrical panel breaker. I've come across panels with whites and grounds on the same side. Does that matter? Why or why not? thanks guys.

why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down again to give the vacuum one more chance?

I have a 30 gallon water heater that is approx. 10 years old. I have replaced the heating element twice in 2.5 years due to(calcium?lime?) buildup eating through the coil. What can I do to prevent this kind of buildup and clean it out with now.

Just bought a house. Previous owner had house floor refinished.
During the open house, and also during my ownership (Two weeks) a stepstool was used to access the attic. The stepstool was on plastic. (We were painting at the time)
We removed the plastic today to find that the stool had gouged the floor when people climbed up it to access the attic.

So there are 8 or 9 sets of gouge marks in the floor. How can I repair these.
Floor is approx 50 years old, solid wood. Gouges are not very deep. Approx 1/8th of an inch or less

We live in a small apartment with electric heat. Our electric bill is THROUGH THE ROOF!!! We thought by being on the third floor we'd catch a lot of heat from downstairs, and we do! But we live in Vermont, and its COLD!

Is there any sort of small heating unit I can get that is safe (I don't want anything htat could cause fires) and less expensive than electric heat?

Our apartment is VERY small, so we'd only need one little heating unit.

Any ideas?

I went to the basement to get some wood stain from the storage room, and there was a big black cat laying in the middle of the floor. I stomped my foot right next to its head, but it didn't move of flinch...it is dead & its carcas is in my basement. It must have came in through the dog door down there.

Today was trash day, so no pick-up till next week. I live in Wisconsin, and it's like 16 degrees outside, so no burial. I honestly don't even want to touch the thing, but it's only a matter of time till the stench & maggots set in.

What do I do with a dead cat in the middle of winter?
