The only thing that ever worked for me is to constantly pick, pick, pick. I am always picking things up and putting things back where they belong. My man learned that I don't like him leaving things places, so he always puts things back when he's done with them. I make sure there's always a place for everything and everything in its place, and I do it every day. My bedtime standards are: 1) all dishes washed and put away 2) all trash in the trashcan 3) all laundry folded and put away or hung in the closet 4) all floors swept Because I get on all these things as soon as the mess is created, I never save it until the last minute and our place is never a mess. I know it's a hassle, but it's life and it has to be done each and every single day without fail.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser - Removes crayon completely. Rinse after using it with warm water.

well I use a natural stone cleaner for most of my house hold cleaning, It cleans almost everything , it cleans Gold Silver, Bronze Stainless Steel, Brass, most metals, cleans grease& grim, clean´s dirty scuff marks off floor´s clean´s walls even clean´s windows . I´m sure if you could find this in your hardware store all house wives should have this in there homes, the one I use is called Perlganz Putzein, muy niece introduced it to me, there is a web site www.promonov.com should you be interested. sure it would remove the marks from your fireplace

Crayons are made of wax. My suggestion would be to try to clean it with steam or very hot water. You may have to do this several times.

same thing happened here. buy mr. clean magic erasers. they are awesome and work on virtually everything and every surface especially porous things. they are around 3.00 a box of two. swear by them. get the white ones not the dual sided(blue & white). it will take a matter of seconds to take off. good luck
