When ever I have moved I always start with the kitchen first. Then I set up the bathroom and bedrooms....living rooms and dining areas are easiest and always last! Congrats and good luck.

Ok, if you really want to have a successful move....here it is.
1.First off, go through all your stuff. Anything you have not used or worn for a year...get rid of it. Have a garage sale at your old place. That way you will have some extra cash on hand. And you won't be moving a bunch of stuff that is useless to you.
2. When packing....write down on a piece of paper EVERYTHING that you put in that box...and in large letters, put which room it goes in. Then take the boxes to the rooms they belong in.
3. Set up the bathroom first. Then just the necessary stuff for the kitchen. Then at least set up and make your bed. From there, hang up clothes that have to be hung. Run to the store and make sure you have what you need for the fridge and cabinets. Just make sure every time you put something away...that the surface is clean......make sure you have plenty of cleaning supplies and don't forget the toilet paper(and paper towels)!!
Then as you have time....you can unpack the rest...as long as you are able to look at the boxes and know where everything is.

Start in the kitchen and bedroom first, get them well in order because you need a place to sleep and eat. Then move on to the bathroom. Last of all, do the living room. Make sure you have a good place for everything.
I've moved more times than I care to remember and this is what I usually do.
If you don't start with the minor rooms, somehow straightening them up gets pushed back further and further each day. By starting at the minor rooms, you feel the need to get them finished quickly so you can get to the main living area. By the time you are completely finished, the whole house/apartment will be in tip-top shape.

Do you mean to decorate or to unpack in?
First order of business- clean the kitchen top to bottom- clean out all shelves, wash them with hot soapy water, scrub the sink and underneath it, wipe down cabinet doors, and clean out the fridge with bleach.
Unpack the kitchen- you'll feel that you've really accomplished something and then you can eat in there, and cook, and keep food.
Put away the pots and pans, dishes and food supplies. Hang something on the wall. Then tackle something else.
Bathroom- scrub sink toilet and tub, scrub out the medicine cabinet, wash the floor, clean the windows and hang a curtain and shower curtain. Now you can take a nice hot shower and put your tootbrush in a nice clean place. Oh hell buy a new one and celebrate.
Next- set up your bed and put clean sheets on it. Got any more energy? I didn't think so. At least you are showered and ready for bed and when you wake up you can cook a nice hearty breakfast and begin sorting through all theboxes to unpack your bedroom stuff- clothes, personal posessions, and your den- hook up the electronics, arrange everything in a manner which pleases you.
The important thing is to do a good cleaning BEFORE you uinpack a single box, so that you are putting your stuff into a clean place and not in someone else's mess. You can live out of boxes for a few weeks but you can't live in mold, grease, dirt and squalor.
Buy something totally unnecessary that makes you happy and makes a statement about you. My son moved out last year, and he bought a Picasso print for his wall. He was so excited about it and it made me feel good as a parent that he recognized his need to have pleasing things in his environment.
Good luck and enjoy your new home!

Start packing in reverse order of how much you need the furniture or other stuff. The last to be packed will be what you need to have available on your last day in the old home, probably a few kitchen supplies or your bed.
Begin setting up your new place in the opposite way. The essentials get unpacked first: bed, kitchen, etc. After all, if it takes more than a day to set up the new place you'll still need to sleep and eat.

properly initially i might want to set a spare weekend away to do it - attempting to do it once you're in a hurry received't artwork. initially i might want to placed each and every thing that isn't any longer nailed to the wall or floor out of the room. strip each and every of the bedding and curtains and so on. Get in and vaccuum and mud each and every conceivable floor contained in the room. Get your self a room freshener. Now sit on your mattress and go searching. Wow, would not that experience extra effective and would not your head experience a lot less crowded with all those sparkling and sparkling surfaces round you? Spend a strong 1/2 an hour merely admiring your cleansing artwork because once you've executed that you'll experience far extra effective about what you enable in on your room. start up dealing with all of your stuff, get some moist wipes and sparkling some thing that you're feeling you desperately want to keep and settle on on the most sensible position for it. make sure that you truly really want and want it and keep going till you've replaced each and every thing you want. Bag up what you do not then both bin/promote/donate it. do not placed any of this stuff on your room, even for storage, because once you do it would not in any respect go away lower back. strong success.

I have learned from experience, that you should always set up the bedroom first. Why? Because when you do this, and then do the other rooms, and you are exhausted, you can shower and go to sleep in your bed, not on the couch or a chair. This way , you are refreshed and ready to go again the following morning. Good luck in your move.

I would say start with the bedroom. That way even if you don't finish the whole place at one time you still have a nice and comfy place to sleep while you are in the process of organizing the rest of the house

For myself I started with the bedroom getting the basics in. Unless you are comfortable sleeping on the couch. Then put things away in the priority of need and use. To make it easier label your boxes and stack them in the room used. Always have a first in box. TP,phone, snacks, music etc. Good Luck experience is the teacher.
