How do I achieve the gothic feel to my bedroom?

I've a 30 feet wardrobe in oak. Just wondering what color I should paint it and the furnishings to give my bedroom that classic gothic feel.

Ok there is black stain ,embelish with gold pulls. As for the curtains and if you have the money Velvet curtains and yes hang highwith a rod iron with dark sheers, pain the room a red or cranberry color the sell those crosses like rod iron. And mirros with gold heavy looking can't find any get some moulding embelishments and with a good bonding glue make one. get some shear curtains and another rod hang it above your bed to have a look of a canopy bed. then add your own personal touches your jewlery hanging or a black dress hanging on the wall. So here a little help hope i have given you some ideas to start with annd go to a site like bob villa to get tips on the furninture. and maybe other stuff good luck and don't mind those negative opinated people.Who can't understand a question.

You shouldn't paint it, you should stain it a dark color like mahogany. Another thing you can do is move your curtain rods all the way up to the top of the wall and then hang heavy drapes all the way to the floor. It will loook like your windows go ceiling-to-floor, like they would in a creepy old mansion.

You should varnish it a dark rich color, and then distress the wood,also iron accessories, like iron hangings, and lamps, oh and you can't forget candles.

Black or a rusty blood red color. My sisters room is done in black and pink but she's not goth. more of a punk.
