I'm planning on relocating my bathroom upstairs. Now I won't be doing the work, but I'm curious as I'm told that the new toilet will (obviously) need to be linked into my drainage/soil pipe and I don't seem to have a manhole inspection cover. Both neighbours either side of me do have manholes but where I believe mine should be is the concrete floor of my conservatory (build ~15 years ago by the previous owners).

I'm pretty worried/concerned by this - should I be or is it normal for manhole inspection covers to be present at every other house on a terrace?

Thanks.

My wife says this makes "milky" glassware look new from the dishwasher. What kind of chemicals are we eating/drinking with the pretty shine?

A friend has offered me a sofa - can't take it with her on a move. It is only a year old and very nice. BUT, she has 6 dogs. And all the problems that come with that. They have had mites, fleas, I am sure they have probably peed on the sofa, etc.

I am wondering if there is anything you can use on a leather sofa - either store bought or made-at-home that I can use to clean and disinfect the leather.

Thanks.

We live in an apartment, and our refrigerator broke, so the complex gave us a new one that seems to have a roach nest inside the back of it, what is the best way to get rid of them? We keep a clean house, so I don't want to hear that I need to clean my house because that is not the case.

We bought a china cabinet from Macy's that was old Strawbridges stock. We got a great deal on it but it was prob sitting in a warehouse for years. The masking tape is over the glass and it's so cooked on- I can not pull it off. I just comes off in tiny pieces. I tried rubbing alchol but it's taking hours!! Any suggestions?? Oh and something that won't damage the wood if it drips! Thanks!!

I bought a new pair of jeans, but the zipper keeps falling down (to my embarrassment!).

Is there anything that I can apply to the zipper to help it "stick" in it's right place, until I actually want it down?

Thanks, I'd rather not show my undies to the world, if I can help it!

A friend wants the underside of his house insulated. R13 is going to be stapled, then held up by stapled chicken wire. The house is 1100 sq. ft. What would be a fair price to charge ? He is paying for the insulation and wire, the house is about 2 ft. off the ground.

It stopped fluching at first, so I replaced the flusher, then when looking at inside just decided to replace everything, each piece I removed I put back the same now it leaks from the rubber where it sits.

I have an elder aunt who recently had a major surgery and now suffers from incontinence while sleeping. She has a water-proof mattress pad so the mattress does not become soiled, but the odor has penatrated into the mattress. How do I get the smell out?
