The megaflow boiler is not working. Service place not there obviously. Called 2 plumbers - not there. It's really cold.
8 people for lunch here tomorrow for Christmas. Aaah!

holy crap, you poor sod, pop around the neighbours, ring everyone you know and beg them to lend you those plug in heaters, as far as washing up goes, use the kettle!!

I don't know about that model. Is it gas fired? If it is, the thermocouple could be defective. These are available at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. If you don't feel comfortable trying this yourself, get on the phone and call every plumber and HVAC company in town. Most service companies have 24 hour service, and check their messages quite often. Good luck too you, and Merry Christmas

It is partly a guy pride thing. But it's also a reaction to the tears. We don't like to see you cry. And when you're crying because of the actions of some vindictive douche, we naturally want to lay a beating on him. It's an instinct to protect the people we love. But I do understand that it's not the best way to handle things, especially when there are kids involved and the aforementioned douche is their dad. All you can really do is recognize (as you have) that your ex is just pushing your buttons because he's miserable and he wants you to be as miserable as he is. You're not. Sounds like you have a great guy who supports you. Tell him that you're happy with him and that you're not going to let your ex get under your skin anymore. Leave your ex to his misery. You and your new man can choose to be happy together and, equally as important, show your child that you're happy! Good luck.

Have you got fan heaters or can you borrow some from neighbours?
If not tell guests to bring thick clothing - you'll all have fun anyway.
