well, kinda embarassing to ask the q...I had bowel movement this morning which left my toilet completely clogged....water would not come down any inch and that left me no room for plunging...I did manage to drain the excessive water out and worked with my plunger, but nothing happened. I saw on the web that some people did have good experience with hot water and dishwash soap, I wonder will that also be the case in my situation? Or, I have to try methods (excluding those required removal of the toilet itself!!)

I bought a large ready pack of coving from B & Q and when I put the glue on and tried to adhere the first piece, it just came away because the the top of the wall and ceiling are very uneven. Got glue all over my new wallpaper, grrrrrr!! Would be good if someone made coving that you could mold to fit the shape of the walls.

I tried the eraser thing but that didn't work. I tried dish soap and that didn't work. These boots are pretty new and if you own a pair you know they can be kinda pricey.

My best friend has a beloved tropical houseplant she has had since the day her 7 year old daughter was born. She forgot it was on the porch and it was subjected to our recent ice/snow storm with freezing rain and temperatures in the low 20's. She has brought it in and removed all the damaged leaves and just the stalks remain. Any suggestions for things she can do to help this plant revive? Or is it a gonner?

My domestic water heater is in the garage. One 3/4 inch water line exits the water heater and almost immediately a 3/4 inch tee diverts water to the clothes washer 20 feet away. The main line continues straight ahead 25 feet and again tee's with one 3/4 line going left to serve the kitchen area 20 feet away and the other 3/4 inch line turning right and serving the bathrooms which are now 50 feet away. The problem is whenever anyone is in the shower and a faucet is opened upstream the person in the shower is robbed of hot water. Any suggestions for a remedy would be greatly appreciated.

So my DH and I have decided that its time to buy a new mattress. He wants a Sleep Number, because are a on a total different end of the spectrum as far as sleep comfort. At first I was all gung-ho for it, but now, after reading customer reviews I'm way more than just reconsidering it. Too many horrible reviews, but there are some really good ones in there too. Then I decided to look into the Tempur-pedic. This brand seems to have a lot more positive comments. But, most of the customers say that the foam mattress sleeps hot...and I DO NOT like that. If I'm going to shell out $1,000 for a mattress, I want it to be worth it. What do you guys think? I like softer mattresses, and my DH likes much firmer. Also, DH is pretty tall (6'5). Would one of these 2 mattresses do the trick, or is there a better mattress out there?
