I am hoping to find a ground cover or a flower carpet, you know with a flower pattern which is ready to be planted and all I will need to do is to plant them and just water them so that the flowers will grow in the desired pattern. i hope I have been able to explain what i mean. Is there anywhere I could buy something like that?

I've tried using insects repellent but those pests still keep coming back. What other way(s) to get rid of it?

I have just fitted some Fakro roof windows in our barn, and want to know where I can buy some locks for them. I have two very young children and am extremely worried about them opening them. They are very similar to Velux windows.

Our garden has been overrun with bramble bushes.
What is the quickest, cheapest and easiest way to tidy up the garden???Everything looks a mess right now and its really daunting as its a large garden....help!!!!
We have visitors over in a weeks time so we just want to tidy everything up for the moment and then do the garden properly in spring.
This is really just a quick fix question.
Thanks.

To a great looking lawn?

We moved into our house 3yrs ago and the lawn was lovely and lush. Since then we've had problem after problem with our retic and our lawn has gone from green to brown to green to brown to green to brown. We have brown patches where the retic is not reaching when it's not working properly. We use our hose sprinkler to green it up again.

The grass has become patchy and weedy and the soil looks mouldy.

We live in the North West of Australia.

What are we doing wrong and what should we be doing?

We have an electricity meter with British gas where there is an electronic key that we have to take to a shop and top it up with cash before plugging it into our meter to top up the electricity.
This was thought to be the best idea, as in a house of 3 tenants it forces us to pay for the electricity without our landlord being responsible, and it forces us to take turns.
However it seems ridiculously expensive - we take turns putting £20 on at a time, which tends to only last 7-10 days.

Would it be cheaper if we had the pay-as-you-go removed and had a continuous supply with regular bills instead?

What are our options?

The black perm marker didn't run all over. -- only enough to make me sick !! Would it help if we sprayed it with a super hold hair spray before we varnished the rest? These are Christmas presents. Thanks

I live in a quadplex building. I am in the middle, the house next to mine and the one on the end are being torn down because of the amount af mold that is in their places. Doesn't mold grow through the walls? Do I need to be worried that my house can be infected as well?

DH washed some clothes with a pen in the pocket. I thought the ink stains in the dryer were dried up but when I put another load in, the ink bled all over them too. I need to know how to get the ink out of the clothes and especially out of the dryer so it doesn't keep ruining clothes! (When I left the house this morning I put the clothes back in the washer to soak with Tide and Borax and turned the dryer on (empty) for as long and hot as it will go.)

I need help, some of my clothes have shrunk! I'm not talking like kiddie size but I can tell a difference...and no I haven't changed size myself. But my mom just got a new washer & dryer so I'm not used to the settings. So after the fact that they shrank, how can I unshrink them? Like can I wash them, then while they are damp, stretch them out? Will that work?

My neighbor has foliage growing out of his chimney. We live in Fla. We have not had rain for like 4 mouths, and It has not been cold yet
He is also a fire fighter.Clearly his thumb is just a tad to green.
Who wants to bet he is late for his own fire?
