I need help, some of my clothes have shrunk! I'm not talking like kiddie size but I can tell a difference...and no I haven't changed size myself. But my mom just got a new washer & dryer so I'm not used to the settings. So after the fact that they shrank, how can I unshrink them? Like can I wash them, then while they are damp, stretch them out? Will that work?

No - sorry - some of the looser weave cottons may stretch a little when you wear them - but for the most part you are stuck with it.

You can't un-shrink clothes. You can try to stretch it a little, but then it might get stretched out of shape. Pretty much that piece of clothing is not going to fit anymore. Sorry.

Rewashing and stretching is a good idea but wash in COLD water. High Heat is the culprit. If they don't stretch out enouch then, oh well, chalk it up to experience.

My trick with new sweatshirts was to stretch them when damp by hand, and then put them over a dining room chair back to stretch them as they dry.

Just wash it, rinse it well, and use downy sample to soften the fabric. Check out this site ttp://www.upkb.com/downysample.php for product tips and details.

Since you say the shrinkage isn't major, your idea should work.
