Hi. I have read the other similar questions but mines alittle different. I live in an old victorian house. The whole kitchen now is WHITE and I have one huge window. I have huge cabinets. Its not that big mostly with my table in it. Im looking for a color to make it alittle bit bigger looking or aleast cozier. Its the first room you walk into. I also have a around the room shelf which is close to the ceiling which I have some (not alot) of nick-nacks. Any suggestions on a color??

It really makes me sad, and closes a walk that will never re-open. When you had to save points to be able to afford silverware, when as a kid I waited to save up points, and waited for the mailman to deliver one little place setting, to save for another.

Sigh. Why do all the good places close? Boo Hoo. :(

The wall was there before either of us moved in. The wall is actually as a result of the lower property that was landscaped to be flat. We are on the side of a mountain. The upper side property is sloping to wall, then wall is carved out to make lower property level. Who has to maintain the wall?

I'm moving into an apartment with radiator heaters...is it safe to have a piece of furniture next to one of these? For example, a couch, or a table? Is it ok as long as they don't touch? The landlord keeps the temp at 68 degrees- so they don't feel that hot.\

I'm finding my options for furniture configurations limited by the radiators! Someone told me I could just put a cover over a given radiator. and yes, I'm aware that blocking a radiator with say the back of my couch may reduce its heating effectiveness- not a real concern

thanks

My wife and I have always liked to make love outside in the grass when the weather permits and I was wondering what would be the best type of grass to plant. We just moved into a new home and I need to start some seed. I'm looking for something that's soft to the touch yet sturdy enough for a vigorous love making session, isn't itchy like a lot of grass, and preferably won't cause to much grass stains. It's pretty warm where we live and we wear shorts and go swimming a lot but it gets tiresome trying to come up with new excuses for all the grass stains all over our bodies. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just short of refinishing, I wish to get rid of 20 years of grime.
The 100+ year old roll top desk is oak, refinished in 1946. The finish is generally solid. I await advice with toothbrush in hand.

Im pretty good at planting and growing things in TN however i am moving to florida down by pensacola in december my new place has been neglected as far as the yard goes and i was wondering what the planting season is like since there isnt much of a winter there. Plants here that are considered tropical(mandevilla, hibiscus etc) are grown in the ground there so is it possible to have a vegetable garden year round? are plants able to go dormant in florida?

Two neighbors of mine whom live side by side, have a line of trees that split their property. There has been a feud between the two over who owns them, and whether they can be cut down or not. Last week, one of the trees (Poplar Tree), which looked extremely healthy, and was right beside the neighbor's garage, mysteriously fell over. The tree was very healthy, but the root system was completely disintegrated, and allowed the tree to fall over. Is there something out there that would rot the root system off without killing the tree. Would copper nails in the tree kill the roots, while allowing the leaves to stay green and healthy looking? I do tree work on the side, and have never seen anything like this before. In my opinion, It looks way too much like sabotage...
