turn it back on it kicked it again, qnd qgain . Any ideas on what may have happened ?

check whatever is connected to it. it may have a short.
if not, replace the GFC. If it still kicks, call a professional.

Have you had any power surges, lightning storms, GFCI outlets are very very sensitive to over current and go bad very easy, try replacing it first, if the problem still exists call an electrician

have you added anything new to the circuit? If not it maybe time to replace the breaker they do wear out over time especially a GFI breaker.

replace it and if it does it again then you will have to see whats grounding out to make it kick out.
