It is not funny. It is very offensive. You could be shot.

I could probably think of a number of funny, less inappropriate, politically/culturally motivated Halloween costumes. I just don't see that emulating that which our young men and women are dieing to defeat is funny or appropriate. Put your mind to it and do something more creative. You probably have other good ideas, I'd pursue some of those. I'd have a hard time holding my tongue if I were at a party with someone dressed like that, and I'm not an overly violent person. I just don't see anything good coming out of that. Some ideas can be identified right off the bat as having no possibility of turning out good ... I afraid this is one of them.

I think it's in pretty poor taste given the world situation.. I'd had to have anyone tease me if my religion called for an ornament...
Why not use the Turban, and just go as an Arab oil person.. carry a can of oil and be a money hungry Arab.. And wear a sign that say's Dick Cheney Rules !

Yes even in some areas of the USA- you may get Arrested or the least stopped and talked to by Local Law enforcement officers.
Yes some people can be that edgee.

Maybe look at goings as Red Devel, or even Batman?

I'm going to do something like that myself so if it's offensive, they're just going to have to suck it up. I'm going to a party, not door-to-door. And I'll explain that I don't really hate anybody and I'm not that religious--I'm just in it for the virgins.

really, that's not something to be laughing about.
you want to dress up as a killer. a real life killer, not a movie character.
i think dressing up like a terrorist with explosives on is going a little too far.
instead, dress up like one of your favorite movie characters, or some sports hero.
