I've been in my house for about 5 years with no problems. In the last 6 months or so, the inside of my dishwasher has started getting a grey colored residue showing up on the walls and door inside of the dishwasher. What is this? How do I get rid of it? Once I do get rid of it, how do I prevent it from coming back?

Have just moved into a house with storage heaters and an immersion for hot water. Having never lived in an all-electric house before, I'm curious to know how the Economy Seven system operates, and whether it is economical or not.

I have 2 outlets in the bedroom that won't work. I tested it w/ a volt meter and the meter lit up but when you plug anything into it, it won't work. The house was built in 1980, so I think the wiring is older. I reset the breaker. I tried to replace it but it was really hard as the black and white wire where thick and difficult to wrap around the outlet. Anyways, any suggestions would help!

i've been doing electrical work for about 6 years now. yesterday i went to troubleshoot a swimmingpool pump.pump is good, wiring not good, hot wire is going straight to ground.i figured the main would be a straight shot to the pump.but it is not ,who ever did this project, ran red wire as neutral, splice wires like everywhere and did not follow code, finally my question is the line that feeds the pump is ran in the same conduit that feeds the swimmingpool light.i figured there would be a junction box outside the pool which splices to light and pump, but there is no box. can it be splice at the light, and the light is on seal/raintight box inside the pool? i need help if anyone has done this kind of projects. this is my first project i could not figure out?
