If you haven't the knowledge to repair it yourself and its out of guarantee then I recommend you buy another one.
leaks are usualy from the drain or fill pipes, which are not too hard to fix. If it is the door seal(front loaders) or the pump then your machine is past it's use by date, and the answer is as many kicks as it takes to get it off your property/out of your domain!

try opening the washer door and feel all the way around the inside of the door seal for any rips or perished areas , if this is the cause the water will leak out from the front behind the panel .
if you think it is leaking from the back it could be several things such as the pump ,the pump hose , the outer drum , or even the bearing housing if it is whining when spinning fast .
if it is new check the guarantee , if it is old think about a new one or even a good secondhand one from a private sale there are some good bargains to be had .
good luck .

you may have to empty your filter, it could be blocked , normally situated on front of machine at the bottom ,a circular bit you can open it up ,but before you do be prepared with a tray to put underneath or a very thick towel on the floor as you may have a mini flood , by opening this you can get out all those things you lost ,ie hairclips , money , rings etc , I hope this is all the problem is , good luck X

This happened to me once - It could be that one of the hoses in the back is not tight enough & water is leaking as a result. If it's not that - you might have to call someone to fix it unless you have some knowledgeable friends.

It may be a a) blocking of the discharge line; or b) the connection of the line to your washer is not properly set. If you can easily do so.. check those.... also.. depending on HOW OLD the machine is.. it could be that the discharge line is worn and you may have to get a new one.. cheap.. at home depot or Lowe's

Whenever you have a leak, it will not go away or get better on its own...in FACT it will get worse. You need to find the leak and have it repaired before you flood your place

LOL, once in a while a kick does work, but not in this case. You need a repairman or a new washer. It is only going to get worse.
