I'm renting a house , a couple of nights ago a sherrif served me and my boyfriend foreclosure papers, and said we have to move in 30 days, but the forms do not say anything about us having to vacant the property.

I just moved into an older house in Oakland, CA and I don't want to ask the manager to show me how to turn on the heat because he gives me the creeps. Anyhow, the heater is this 1 or 2 foot tall brown box that is connected to the kitchen with a silver tube. It has a vent in the front and on the top. It looks pretty old school. Any ideas? If you even know the name of what the heater is called that would help me look up how to use it.

I just moved into a beautiful home one month ago, thinking it was so perfect in everyway. But yesterday night i was finishing up dishes and the retractable hose detached from the fauset head. I managed to get the spring, plastic and ribber bits before they went down the disposal. But to top it off, the next morning when I finnished putting 2 egg shells, and one orange peel. Then around lunch I put down some tiny left over bits of tomato and celery(never had prob w/ it before) after making tuna sandwiches, I noticed the drain was working a little slower in the side sink without the disposal. I didn't think too much of it till this morning when i wanted to wash off a small fry pan. The water in both sinks started to rise. I quickly turned off the water and checked the disposal. everything fine. Ran some water and turned it on, it looked like it was going down, but then i realised it was just filling the other sink! I have put the drano gel maximum strength down...nothing...

WHen the tank is filling up it sounds like water falling and dripping from inside the wall, it eventually slows down to a slow drip then stops until I have to flush and fill up the tank again, we just replaced the wax seal underneath the toilet too.

Granted it was on very steep slope. I watered well first year. The soil was nothing special, and it was full sun, so I figured I would see these beautiful plants come around for many more years.

Year two, and only two (of five originals planted) came back. Year three... sadly none.

I loved these fellas, but can't figure out what went wrong. I sort of recall "goblin" winning some sort of award not too long ago for best plant.

Maybe I under watered them year 2, 3, 4 (although I think we had plenty of natural rain in year 2).

I also checked the web, and sometimes I came across comments like "these are short lived" plants.

I would love to try these guys again. Are their better (long lived) species now? I always fall in love with them at the garden centers when they bloom.

Can I try them next year? How do you suceed with yours?

The surface was not cleaned or primed before painting, so now there are bled spots on the wall. I wondering if the is anything that can be done to hide the spots so that the walls can be painted properly.

My IKEA bed (I know, a piece of crap) keeps collapsing because the wood slats keep falling through. They can't seem to stay in place. This constantly happens, almost every day I have to lift the mattress and move the slats back in place. Anytime you sit on the bed, it collapses. Any ideas how to fix it? It is a queen size bed, so there are two sets of slats.

The fabric was designed by Jim Shore. It was featured in a pattern in a recent issue of a quilting magazine, but they don't have a list of retail outlets that sell the fabric. I believe it is an all over print with partridges, french hens, lords, ladies, etc. Unfortunately, the magazine didn't even identify the manufacturer.
