Be sure to add moldicide to your paint next time you paint to remedy the ceiling.
It a packet of powder that will help prevent mold available at the paint store.

Bleach is the least expensive way to rid yourself of mold. It sounds like you may have a bigger problem. You didn't give any details about the room, IE, windows, ventilation, etc.

When the user of the shower is finished spray with a mold preventative sold in the grocery store like shower clean etc. Then run the bath fan for at least five minutes following to remove the majority of the moisture in the room.

If the problem persists, you may want to drill a few holes in the ceiling and do a moisture test. It is possible that the ceiling isn't made of dura rock and is absorbing water. Many builders skip this step especially in older homes.

If the tiles are not loose there is probably no moisture behind them. If there is grout missing between the tile, you probably do have water which is causing the excess mold.

One more suggestion...a home improvement store would sell a good grout sealer which could also help prevent future mold.

Hope this helps and Good Luck!

Tilex shower spray and cleaner. Use daily after each shower. You can see the mold disappear with the Tilex. Also, you can just use Clorox mixed with water and take off the mold. I had mold around my tub and under the inside of the toilet bowel where you can't see it. I use Lysol toilet bowel cleaner for that. I never had mold until I moved to another state. I also used a mixture of Clorox and water for the floors in my kitchen and bathroom and around the water fixtures. Mold seems to really like the Zone 7 area.

Bleach is the only thing that will kill the mold. Also you may want to have your home checked. Not to scare you , but it could be in the ceiling and the wall. That happened to my husband and I and was making my daughter very ill. We had to move from our home recently. It was coming up through the baseboards in the walls.

Bleach and water. 1 cup of bleach to 4 cups of water. Use some elbow grease and you'll be good to go.
