Depends what kind. Pergo is really easy. Hardwood is difficult and requires special tools and then needs to be stained.

if you are using pergo its really easy. you tape down the foam padding and then you just stick the wood together. you no longer have to glue it together. the critical thing is that the floor has to be level and you must install it 1/4 to 1/2 inch away from the wall to allow expansion due to moisture. make sure that you undercut door casings.
Make sure that the wood is in the house at least 24 to 48 hours before you install.
now if you are installing hardwood it is difficult because you have to cut and nail etc.

Pretty easy, but read up on it and get a few good tools.

Not hard at all.
I hired a guy to install my floor, but he didn't show up.
I started the job, and before the day was over, I had done it perfectly. I was surprised how easy it was.
Tile is a different story.

depends on what type of wood flooring. my dad and i installed pergo wood flooring in my bedroom, and it was relatively easy. only took 1 day.

Depends on what kind you want.Real hardwood is a pain in the butt and is not that durable.Laminate hardwood flooring is very easy and very durable.Laminate flooring is maintenance free and will look like new for years

matters what type you got, there are some that fit like a puzzle and some that are a lil harder, are you good with a saw
