First i would brush as much off the carpet with a stiff brush,if the paint is dry. Than I would use a product called Spot Shot.It's available at Wal Mart Lowes Home Depot and most grocery stores in the laundry detergent aisle.I like the aresol spray. 2) Windex
Be sure to test a small corner of carpet for any results you don't want!

Kerosene or gasoline as quickly as possible. Then wash or shampoo the area to remove the smelly and dangerous kero or gas residue. Good Luck
