How do you get spray paint out of carpet!?

My 4yr old got hold to some spray paint and got some on the caprpet. What can I use to get it out! Please help! Its new carpet!

First i would brush as much off the carpet with a stiff brush,if the paint is dry. Kerosene or gasoline as quickly as possible. Then wash or shampoo the area to remove the smelly and dangerous kero or gas residue. Good Luck
