We have just tried to turn on our electric baseboard heat for the season and only 1 room is coming on. We have a thermostat in every room and I can hear them click on when I turn them but there is no heat. We have checked the breaker box and there is juice. Can someone please HELP!!!!! Everything worked at the end of last season.

It would also help to know how hard these are to install.

It seems so simple! 1.5 V battery switched onto low voltage side of spark generator. No sparks. New spark generator. Still no sparks. Definitely getting 1.5V on input side of SG. Spark points look clean. Could they all be too wide? At the same time? Won't some work and some not if it just about gaps? All ideas gratefully received.

I have just started college as a full time student; however i also wanted a part time job,but havent been able to find one anywhere, and i dont really think i have time for one (as i wouldnt really be able to chose the hours)

So, i was thinking what i could do instead, and i came up with this idea. I thouht i could advertise in the local paper, and shop, that i will do peoples ironing - they drop it around my house, and i can iron it for them say at 50p an item and deliever it back the next day / a few days. What i was woundering, is do you think this would be a good idea, i feel it would be a good idea because i could chose the hours i worked, which would be perfect to fit around college. Also do you think it would be popular; i would think so, as alot of people dont have time for ironing, and its cheaper apparently then what the laundrettes charge.

Let me know what you think! Cheers!!!

I have a large old oak in my back yard. It has 2 trunks at the base and is probably about 60ft tall. It has 2 small openings where the trunks come together and for the last 2 summers, there have been carpenter ants in them. I spray like crazy and put any traps....they still survive.
I have read that the ants won't actually kill a tree because they are not EATING it, just moving dead stuff out.
The tree also has a tiny bit of green moss on the bark at the ground level, which I read was a bad sign.
The tree looks perfectly healthy otherwise. Any prognosis? This is our best shade and privacy tree!

Can I use a self-tapping saddle valve to hook up a ice machine in a refrigrator? I want to use it on the existing gray plastic pipe going to the sink faucet.
