i have a suede footstool, and when i ordered a calzone from delivery, it came in a box, so i put the box on my suede footstool, and when i took it off, there was something black like charcoal or burnt calzone on the bottom of the box AND my suede footstool. i tried washing it with water, but that only removed some of the stain. what else can i try? i live in a college dorm with limited access to cleaning supplies.

We have a beautiful apartment, except for the kitchen. The cabinets are a light oak color, and the doors (on the cabinets) are like a white fermicca (sp?). Any ideas to liven it up a bit? We can't paint and I don't want to glue anything to them.

I have to replace a concrete block porch with a 8'X20' slab of concrete on top. Estimates I have gotten are about $1900, that's ALOT of money. Just wondering if anyone knows of any companies or organizations that might help me out with the cost. Or any other suggestions. I do own the home, not renting.

What do I do with a mouse that is haunting me in my house. Seriously, I caught one once about a month ago and this same one or another one keeps sticking around. Basically, all I did was let the first one go after I caught him with a sticky trap. This one I'm doing the same thing to because they will not go to any other trap that I put out. It's a smart mouse!!

We have a gas furnace and a wood air tight. The airtight heats the main floor so HOT that the furnace never comes on which leaves the bedrooms and basement freezing. Can I buy a thermostat that will measure two areas and take an average ? Any other suggestions ?

I live in an apartment building and every time someone opens their door on my floor my door shakes. It happens to their doors as well. Is there something I can do to stop my door from shaking. Is there a strip I can put around the door to stop it from making that noise. Anything I can get from Home Depot that can stop this from happening?
