I am planning to replace my current carpet flooring to either a hard wood or vinyl or stone or tile.

Home depot informed me that if I have concrete slab currently then it will be difficult to install hard wood. I need some flooring which is easy to clean and maintain and is not very expensive.
p.s. I am not into laminated flooring as I think they look fake.

I am not a do it yourself person. So please respond with which flooring should I go with also taking into consideration the cost to getting it installed.

Electricity went out in kitchen. Lights work, but outlets do not.. What should I do? We had just bought a little conventional oven for the kitchen so we can bake chicken. Today I had some chicken baking in the little oven and when I came back to check up on it, it was off. I noticed that our rice cooker wasn't powered on either, come to find out, none of the appliances that required power outlets were not working. Including the refridgerator!!! In our other rooms, everything works fine, the outlets are working. It's just the ones in the kitchen, does anyone know what happened?? And what should I do to fix this? Is it something with the circuit breaker? We turned it off and turned it back on but its still not working.... I reset and tested all the outlets, but nothing is working. In the electrical panel, how would you know which breaker is out? Is there something on the breakers that shows which one is blown out or do you have to check them one by one?

I know how to dispose of the asbestos, and know where to dispose of it, but I don't know how to go about it, and am having problems finding such info on the web. HELP!?

I have switched outlets in my L.R. It appears that the switches are a single pole (on the end) and a three-way switch next, then all the switched outlets. There are two black wires, a red wire and a ground. The single pole switch has the red going to the bottom screw and the black going to the top. I'm not sure which black wire goes where in the 3-way switch. I took a guess and now I have no power at all in living room

KING: I got you. Back to Iraq. Would you leave? Just leave?
PENN: Well, I think there are three Iraqs. Or there are four Iraqs. And I think that there is something -- you know, I'm not a military strategist, but that puts me on par with our military strategists. So I think that you have Kurdistan. We have an obligation to the Kurds there. You've got Sunnis and Shiites, who once got along. (End quote) Let me educate you Sean Penn you brainless wonder. It is commonly known that Shiite and Sunni Muslims have been killing each since ANCIENT TIMES. Murder over RULERSHIP and REVENGE regarding Muhammad's grandsons killing, by the Shiites, after they invited that heir to come and preach. They (Shiites) have a "Day" to commemerate it by beating themselves bloody, openly on the streets. Ḥusayn ibn ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (حسين بن علي بن أﺑﻲ طالب)‎ 28th August 626 – 680 Sha'ban 3 , 4 - Muharram 10 , 61 A.H.- was the grandson of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. SUNNI and SHIITES NEVER EVER had peace!

I was given a kirby vacume cleaner from my mom 3 years ago. A few days ago the darn thing quit working. I've heard that there is a lifetime warranty on these vacumes. This one is 13 years old. My parents paid 1,500 for it from a door to door licensed kirby dealer

We have a small Hydrangea plant (16``) high in a sunny, south facing garden near Aberdeen, Scotland. In six years it has flowered just once. It appears to be perfectly healthy, I have tried plant foods but it will not cooperate. Any ideas gratefully appreciated.

We've only had it like 6 months and it's always worked fine then yesterday it stopped going up and down automatically. Theres nothing in the way of the sensor we checked. The only thing we can think of is that its been raining non-stop for the past few days. If water got on the sensor somehow would that cause it to short?

The tree is in a large pot in a semi-basement which gets the morning sun. We have tried not to overwater, and have added some ericaceous compost and fertiliser to try to help it along.
