If you are going to texture the wall anyway,,I still suggest to try to remove as much loose paper as you can. Then you would want to roll the wall with 2 coats of water based poly-urethane.This will absorb into the rest of the paper on the walls and seal the wall from blisters that might occur after you texture.

I ONLY use a product called Lestoil. Full strength. If you've already scored the paper, then wet it with a sponge soaked in Lestoil. Otherwise your only alternative is to rent a steamer that does remove wallpaper, they work. Even if you are going to texture the walls, I would strongly advise removing the wallpaper first. I also use the Lestoil at 1/4 cup to a 2 gal. bucket AFTER I've removed the wallpaper, to clean any residue off the wall.

Use equal parts downy liquid fabric softener and warm water...put this in a spray bottle and spray generously onto the wallpaper. Allow to soak through and then scrape off with a large putty knife type scraper. I've used this technique in my own home after watching it done on several episodes of "Sell this House". Good luck!!

I feel your pain, wallpaper should be BANNED! I used the fabric softner, water mixture with the claw. It sucks, but eventually it all came down. Damaged the walls a bit, but sheet rock mud will fix it. Good luck!

if u don't want to spend money use boiling water.
apply hot water on the wallpaper and don't try to remove it till it absorbes the water. then start to pull the paper gently you may need more hot water while pulling or sometimes a Wallpaper Scraper like this
