Are you sure it's not just noise from the piping? If it is truely a drip, you should be ableto find a wet spot on the wall, or on the ceiling under where the toilet is. It would be VERY unusual for you to have a leak in the supply pipe that only leaked when the toilet tank was fillinig and not all the time.

it the sounds stops when the toliet fills then you do not have a leak in the wall. take the tank lid off and flush the toilet there is a little tube that goes from the ballcock (the thing the water line is attached to) to the round tube in the middle of the tank this line refills the bowl when the tank refills. It may be too short or not far enough into the tube. ck your other toilets and see what i'm talking about. this will fix your prpblem

The pipe inside the wall probably has a drip. You can cut out some of the drywall back there yourself if you want to try to fix it yourself. Or you can call a plumber. Either way, you're going to need to replace the pipe plus replace the drywall. So sorry, it sounds like a big old messy job.

maybe the flapper isn't sealing completely -- maybe get a new flapper -- if there was a leak in the wall it wouldn't stop when the toilet filled .. mine used to make dripping noises -- usually when I went to bathroom late at night when it was really quiet .. after flushing sometimes I could hear a little sound like dripping but couldn't locate the source ... flushed again and it would stop ... my broither said it might be a loose or bad fitting flapper .. changed the flapper and the dripping noise stopped ...
