My home is over 100 years old. I have a few old runs of non-grounded wire that I would like to have replaced with grounded wire (I'm going to put a computer at this location). Can an electrician just pull the old wire out and snake the new wire without securing inside the wall? I would like to avoid having to have holes in the walls? If it going to require holes and wall repair, I may just rearrange the room another way.

Thank you

What are ways to get rid of mice other than setting traps, getting a cat or snake?
We have set the wooden traps caught two of the mice but still got more and we leave the traps out but dont catch them. We put out the sticky gule traps again caught a few but not them all. Seems the mice get smart and learn NOT to step on them traps.
We dont want a cat, and we got a sanke but we dont let the snake out to roam our house. So thats not going to happen neither.
We have called around and was told since we have kids the best they can do is come and set mice traps for us. So thats not going to help neither. So does anyone know of any other things that will make them go away? Someone said put mothballs down and that works but i dont know. What do mice hate?

I have alot of birdfeeders in our yard and sometimes the seed falls to the ground and then sprouts and then we have it growing right under the birdfeeders. Does anyone know how I can keep it from sprouting? I don't want to take the feeders down because they are near our windows and we enjoy watching the birds while they are eating. Can someone please help with this problem?

i asked earlier about a burning smell like rubber from my pretty new echo gas leaf blower, i got some good answers, but i need to rephrase. the smell is not really a burning smell, just a weird smell, eminating from the exhaust..i had a homelite a few years ago and as i recall it had the same smell..the gas/oil mixture is correct in my echo...thanks

Mine is stuck. I guess it screwed in the wrong way, but because it is in a bathroom, I really don't want to risk breaking the bulb. Any good ideas?

I bought something recently and paid with PayPal. I realized too late that the address the merchant got is my old address. Mail is still being forwarded...it's only been three months since my move...but will this apply to packages, too?

I painted some wooden dining chairs with gold metallic (outdoor) paint coz I liked the colour. I now want to paint them in a delicate creamy colour but cannot be arsed to rub them down with sandpaper. Is there something that will cover all and not flake?
