We saw a recipe for getting rid of mildew stains, but can only remember that it called for lemon and baking soda - there was at least a third ingredient - anyone know what it is or another way to get the stains off this bookbag? I'm throwing it out if we can't get them off.

I want to just be able to hoover up small bits of dust & stuff, and those little re-chargeable hoovers look really handy. I know some fit into a holster thing, that looks sensible. Or maybe that's not necessary. I don't need to hoover up liquids.

I don't like buying this kind of thing, so am intending to spend quite some time researching before I invest.

Any tips gratefully accepted!

Does anyone have a good method to keep the "sucker" shoots from growing at the base of their trees/shubs? We always have a plethora of them and it is a hassle to keep them controlled! We have sprayed Roundup at the bases and it helps somewhat, but it is a continuing effort.

My house is about 83 years old and there is about 1/2" of plaster covering some small wood slats. The wires come through two holes drilled in the wood. The existing fixture basically was held in place with anchors in the plaster and possibly even was screwed right into the wood slats. The instructions for the new fixture state to fasten to the electrical box...... but there isn't one. Can anyone help??

When I moved into my apartment, it was brand new, and the walls were an off white color. I hung up some posters in my room, and now that I have taken them down, there are gray colored stains on the wall. It has to be dust, because the posters have been there since I first moved in. Is there any way to clean this off???

Direct Buy is a furniture, appliance, electronics, flooring, kitchen, bath - you name it for the home, and they have it - kind of store. I know there are several across the country, and there's one by me.

We are looking to purchase out first home and I was wondering if it was worthwhile to join, as we are starting with practically nothing.

Last quarter we got a bill for £345. They said it was big because they had underestimated our meter usage so we gave accurate meter reading and paid up to date. The next bill we just got is for £266 for summer mopnths. Is this normal? We are two people in a house that is entirely electric. We have a computer that is turned on quite a bit but otherwise don't think we use use any more electric than normal. Whats your Bill?
