I am currently living in Stoke Newington but need to buy a bigger house as my family is expanding, and I can't afford to buy in SN.

I care about: schools, transport, and crime; and I work in West London. Can cope with a 10 mile cycle to/from work in Shepherd's Bush.

I am looking at places like Harrow, Finchley, and Acton, but don't really know anything about any of them. Any advice on these or other areas would be most welcome.

Further to my previous question looking for a plant called Samantha in remembrance of my best friend's daughter killed last week in a white water rafting accident in Thailand, I'm not having much luck, so am wondering whether there are any bulbs called "Samantha". It doesn't matter what kind they are as in daffodils, tulips etc., as long as they are called Samantha. UK only thanks.

I have just moved into a very small 2-bed house, with electric heating. I intend to go with solar panels but have absolutely no knowledge of these. I expect to install GCH as I assume that I cannot run the electric heating off the panels. Any advice re Companies for supply and installation, Council grants etc etc

I have two pieces of wood stuck together using no more nails, is it possible to free them, without damaging the orginal wood. It's a wooden trainset (Brio) glued to MDF.

I've seen in plant shops potted yuccas with very thick stems (as large as the pot, like 20-30 cm large) that got thinner at the top (not like the ones you usually see that are cilinder shape). Is that a different species or you can do it yourself?

Currently the kraft paper vapor barrier on the fiberglass insulation is facing to the outside. This seems backwards. I thought the vapor barrier is always to the living space, but I am not familiar with procedure when the face brick exterior is considered.
