I just bought a new set of sheets (300 thread count) and they started pilling after just two or three washes. What can I do to stop this from happening in the future?

I prep the walls by using TSP and taking off the gloss from the old paint.

Then I prime the walls.

I have seen on home improvement shows that they do not clean the walls before priming, they just prime and then paint.

Am I doing it the correct way?

What are the procedures for preparing the walls for primer?

There are now a total of EIGHT shopping carts by the gate where I drive into my apartments! Someone keeps leaving them here and never taking them back. The grocery store is freaking 2 blocks away. I think this person lives here, and management is doing nothing about it. It is driving me INSANE everytime I get home and have to see them sitting there! Do I have a right to be mad? Do I have a right to wring the manager's neck?

If not, did you paint over it?
Im removing wallpaper from a kitchen that was wallpapered directly to the drywall and its going veeeeery slowly.
Does anyone have any tips? I have a paper tiger, and I have the wallpaper loosening solution, and it helps but not much.
Conversly has anyone painted over this stuff with good results? did you perhaps seal up the gaps with something?

We're thinking about buying a snowblower/thrower for this winter as we no longer have a truck with a plow on it. You all gave us some good lawn mower suggestions. So, what is the best brand and/or model in the reasonable price range?

I didn't have vinegar or amnonia after clearing the kitchen floor. I spend over an hour clearing the floor and then sweeping. Then I check to see what I have. All I could find was Clorex and Tide, so I figure Clorex and mix it in with a lot of water. That took me about 30 minutes to mop because of the stubborn spots.

It seems like no matter how much i try,my bath towels and kitchen towels, even washcloths end up smelling like mildew. I've washed them in cold water, hot water, warm, put downy in the rince cycle, and even if they smell fresh at first, when i get one out to use,it smells terrible again! I store them in a dry place,so that's not the problem, any ideas or words of wisdom please!!

I was told that it is not my problem since I do pay rent. Is this true. It's hotter than hell and I can't really afford to fix it.

I bought this years ago, it is in a tall (18 inches) red box. Works like a charm. Is called Fire Any Extinguisher. The pesticide is in a pressurized cannister. You hook up a flexible tube with a metal prod (maybe a foot long) to it. Spray and stick the tube into the ground and it wipes out the whole mound in an hour or two. It is almost out and I have searched everywhere but can't find it on line, in stores, etc. Anyone have any ideas?
