I have a couch in the center of my living room. I have wood floors, I believe they are original to the house built in the 1700's. My problem is the couch keeps sliding back. Is there anything I can put under the legs to stop it?

Its a crop of some kind but not sure what. I was on a trip driving through KY and Tennessee and seen it on the farms. From a distance I thought it was sunflowers but it wasn't.

I believe they live outside but do come into the house sometimes. I do know that is what they are called but am not sure on the spelling. It looked like a mouse about 3-5 inches plus a furry tail about 4in.

We were repairing a leak in our finished basement. There was no form of insulation behind it and the foundation. Is this due to moisture problems? Should there be insulation?

Hi. We have a gas fireplace we don't use. I know you're supposed to close the flue during the winter so your heated air doesn't get sucked out through the chimney, so is it good to leave it wide open in the summer so warm air will get pulled out of the house?

Thanks.

Our in-ground hot tub won't work. I had it started, and the jets working but then it just shut off and tripped the breaker for the master bathroom. The control boxes are in the basement under the hot tub and I've never worked with them. Do I have a short or is it something electrical? Any advice or tips. If you know about hot tubs PLEASE HELP me, your advice would be greatly appreciated!

Our fireplace is currently set up for gas but it was originally a wood fireplace. the previous owners converted to gas but I'd like to convert back.

would it be dangerous for me to convert back to wood? and if you have any knowledge of this, what would I need to do in order to convert back to wood, safely. Any tips. Thanks. :D

I know this may seem like a dumb question but, what are those stickers called. I seen people with them at school. They are for lose leaf paper when a hole rips so you can put the paper back in your binder. I meant to get some while at Staples today but forgot. I wanted to know the name of them so I could find the price on Staples.com

thanks
