I guess it was unfortunate timing to have it installed now, while she is pregnant, since normally that smell is considered a good one!
I'm afraid that whatever you use to mask the smell might just make it worse. And you dont' want to damage the wood.
Did you try febreze? That nuetralizes odors. I'm not sure it would work, though.
She may have to sleep elsewhere for awhile if it is really bothering her. Or maybe she will get used to it.
I remember how awful that could be from when I was pregnant with twins though, so I do sympathize!

Ask the person next to you "was that you?" what ever you do don't turn around and walk back in to it. But act as if you did just walk through it and say dang that stunk or something like that. Unless it smells like heaven and its not then own up to it. Also say the fart poem "a fart is a chemical substance it comes from a place called bum it penetrates through the trousers and lands with a musical hum. Tis fart Tis Fart for it gives the body ease it warms the blankets on cold winter nights and suffocates all the flea's

You could try finishing the wood with paint, wax, or polyurethane. The smell would be different (and worse) for a day or two, but once the wood is sealed in a surface coating, it shouldn't smell anymore. Sorry.

ONLY BY TIME AND AIRING IT OUT....YOU COULD TRY ZEROODOR.COM ...THAT PRODUCT WORKS ON EVERYTHING ELSE....IN THE MEAN TIME IF YOU COULD SEAL IT WITH AN ODOR FREE SEALER THAT MAY HELP....AIRING IT OUT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE....PREGNANT WOMEN ARE SUPER SENSITIVE AND DO GET NAUSEOUS AT STRONG AROMAS AND SUCH...
