So much depends on the severity of your winter and the planting zone you are located in. For instance, most annuals will bloom in the dead of winter in the Miami, Florida area while almost no annuals will bloom in Minnesota outside of a greenhouse. Even in the coldest regions, there are ways to force annuals to bloom indoors in the dead of winter if conditions and techniques are correct.

Depends where you live. But I know Pansies can tolerate pretty cold weather. But here in Michigan nothing blooms in winter.

Primroses, pansys, winter sweet peas, guess it would depend on if they are buried in snow, or were lucky enough to live in a mild climate. check with a local nursery..
