I own a laundromat that does drop off laundry and have found regular Tide, without added bleach or softners, does the best overall job.
Some hints on laundry:
More soap does not mean better cleaning. Detergent foams when it is washing and foam is air pockets. Those air pockets prevents the surfactants from doing their job. Ideally, about one to two inches of suds on top of the water while it is agitating in the machine does the best job, and saves you money on detergent costs too. I have found the amount to use usually is less than the recommended amount on the container. A full load of laundry usually needs a 1/2 to 1 scoop of detergent, or about 1/2 that amount of liquid.
Water that is hard will cause cleaning problem with clothes also. If you have that problem, try adding a tsp of salt to the wash.
Always remove clothes from the washer and the dryer as soon as the machine cuts off. Allowing to set, even for a few minutes will cause wrinkles. Remove from washer and dry or hang those not to be dried, and dry to slightly damp to hang, and most wrinkles will disappear. .
