I picked 100 small tomatoes from 3 tumbler tomato plants grown in pots recently. My friend grows runner beans in grow bags next to her wall every year. Most herbs will grow happily in pots. Outdoor cucumbers also grow well in large pots or growbags. Small root salad veg like radish and beetroot will also grow well in large pots. I have used an old dustbin to grow potatoes in the past

It all depends on your zone, growing conditions etc. But here are some things that sometimes workL Tomatoes in pots, esp. the small varieties, cherry and grape tomatoes, bush cucumbers, or climbing cucumbers if you provide sturdy trellising on the walls, onions, garlic, herbs, strawberries, runner beans (again witih the trellsing or an obelisk in a pot). In any case, pot plants will need to have a steady water supply and good fertilizer. Plants against the wall must be protected from baking. If the wall is a light colour, this is especially important. They will need watering daily, or twice daily if you're in a hot place. The soil might need to be amended if it is mostly construction leftovers. Organic matter would be best. Good luck.

Try potatoes in compost bags (120Ltr are best), runner beans in dustbins, tomatoes in large pots, salad leaves, herbs and possibly cucumbers! You might also try raspberry canes trained against one of the walls and even a strawberry tub.

Good luck!

try potatoes in a bin. plant some at the bottom and as they grow put more compost in. Eventually you'll have a bin full of potatoes. Or you could grow a herb garden or things like betroot in tubs.

tomatoes, peppers & squash might do well - why not try an herb garden instead? it's easier, particularly in a small area - plant basil, mint (this spreads quickly), parsley, rosemary, dill and oregano - you'll have great fresh herbs for cooking or salads

you do not say what variety of climate or soil you have, which concerns plenty. it fairly is not any stable planting some speedy-growing to be tropical climber if it won't be able to stay to tell the story the chilly winters the place you're, for occasion. So rather some those innovations are wonderful - yet i does not bypass and get any of them without checking they are going to gain your section. What to do? to boot as climate and prerequisites (warm/chilly, damp/dry, seashore (salty)/inland), it helps to appreciate what variety of soil you have: is it sandy? Clay? Acid or alkaline? All of those issues count, through fact a plant that would boost wildly in one section might wither and die someplace else. yet there are trouble-free strategies around it: for starters, take a inspect what grows nicely on your neighbourhood - if there is a few gruesome bush it rather is everywhere, you could likely be certain its domesticated cousin with extraordinarily flowers will do ok on your backyard. Take a pattern of your soil alongside to a close-by nursery so as that they are able to p.c. out it (they are going to probably understand what grows nicely domestically besides). probably your terrific wager is to bypass to a pair interior of reach nursery besides - even with each and every thing, the place are you going to purchase your plant? bypass alongside, take a soil pattern, in keeping with risk photos out of magazines of flowers you like the look of, and look and ask questions. we are able to basically supply you techniques for tall flowers, yet no one right here supplies you a surefire answer without understanding in any respect what your interior of reach situations are - plenty extra suited to ask the interior of reach experts.
