Mine is stuck. I guess it screwed in the wrong way, but because it is in a bathroom, I really don't want to risk breaking the bulb. Any good ideas?

I agree with Mige Manson's answer. For safety reasons it might be good to turn off the breaker switch for the electricity running into your bathroom before touching anything metallic. Wear protective gear like gardening gloves or some other type of thick gloves in case it breaks. Might be good to wear a pair of safety glasses as well in case the bulb does shatter and pieces fly all over. If you happen to remove the glass part of the bulb (ie. if it breaks off,) cut a potato in half, then stick it in the socket and wiggle / unscrew it. Hopefully it'll come out.

I've had this problem. I put a bucket or a box under the bulb (make sure power is off), broke the bulb, then I used needle nose pliers on one side of the base. The base will either come loose or it will begin to collapse and it will eventually collapse small enough to come out

I would put on leather work gloves for protection and attempt to twist it out. If the bulb does break, turn the switch off and use a raw potatoe to remove the remainder.push the end of potatoe into the bulb and twist out

Make sure the circuit breaker to your bathroom is off; then using a wash cloth or hand towel crip bulb and twist to loosen; if this fails then gently break bulb and use small vice cripes to get out; reason for wash or hand towel is so you don;t get cut when breaking bulb. Good Luck.

Easy: Turn the light switch off which will kill ALL power at the light socket. With the switch off do what ever it takes to get it out (turning CCW (counter clock-wise)). Needle nose pliers work fine. Smash all the remaining glass into a garbage so you're just working with the thin metal base.

I've heard of people using a potato cut in half, jamming it on and turning? I don't know about that one.

Get a good grip on it with a towel... this will protect your hand if it does break. Try to twist and make sure your are twisting in the correct direction. (Righty = tighty ..... Lefty = Loosey) You may have to break it in order to get it out, if so cut a potato in half and push it up against the broken piece left in the socket, then turn. The potato should grab what is in there and make it unscrew. Good Luck!!

Hold onto the socket with one hand, hold the bulb with the other, twist, maybe jiggle it about a little and pull. If all else fails, get someone else to try. The more people who try, the mor hance that it comes out.

When you do get it out put a little vaseline on the new bulb so you don't have this problem next time

I just had this happen to me and I used one of those wd-40 pens. It loosend it up enough for it to start sliding better.
If you do happen to break it, take a potatoe and stick it up in there and screw it out. Trust me, it works.
Good luck~
