What are ways to get rid of mice other than setting traps, getting a cat or snake?
We have set the wooden traps caught two of the mice but still got more and we leave the traps out but dont catch them. We put out the sticky gule traps again caught a few but not them all. Seems the mice get smart and learn NOT to step on them traps.
We dont want a cat, and we got a sanke but we dont let the snake out to roam our house. So thats not going to happen neither.
We have called around and was told since we have kids the best they can do is come and set mice traps for us. So thats not going to help neither. So does anyone know of any other things that will make them go away? Someone said put mothballs down and that works but i dont know. What do mice hate?

moth balls might help but it stinks something awful, keep putting out the glue traps, one caught is a hundred that wont be born from that creature, make sure there is no food about on the floor or anything like that, because thats what they are looking for. look for holes near the foundations of your house, where water pipes come in and so on, and make sure you plug them up with plaster, calk, or something of the sort, and keep checking those areas after that because they can chew through a lot of things.

Mice reproduce at an alarming rate if you have a mouse problem, and it seems you do. I had the problem a few years ago, and I had four small children. Here is what I did. I set mouse traps in key locations like under the sink, in the cellar, behind the couch, and in any area that the kids could not reach or accidentally set one off. I caught many mice that way and eventually cleaned out the nest. When setting the traps, be sure you put only a little bit of bait directly on the trap spring. They will get the bait if the amount is too large. The BEST bait I found was peanut butter and/or cheese. Just a dab so they have to set off the spring if they go anywhere near the spring. It worked.

Good luck!!!

Mothballs Mice

Moth balls are a good tool to use to get rid of mice out of your house , mice are known to run against the walls because they can't see, they travel against the walls they have built it sensors to help guide them and they smell very well, mice do not like the smell of mothballs they hate the smell and they will try to stay as far as possible away from the smell it stinks to them so i would tell u to put moth balls behind your furniture, your bed, behind things where they hide put them against the walls, and any area where u think they may be coming from, your house might smell like moth balls but the mice will by pass your house and find some where else to go to, make sure if u have small kids or pets don't let them get a hold of the mothballs they can do harm and also possible death so keep them out of the reach of your small kids and pets good luck.

The mice are coming into your house for 2 reasons, food and shelter. Try using the mouse traps again, but use different baits each time you set them. Peanut butter works well for use. We just got 3 mice, 1 with a trap and 2 our cats got. Don't use poison because the mice will eat it and go die somewhere and you may not find them, and soon they will stink your house up with they decompose plus if your kids are young, they may get into it.

Sonic emitter, but do not leave it on all the time or they get used to it, 1 day on 1 day off. Also, snap traps with peanut butter. Or sticky trap with a small dap of peanut butter on the middle.
