Don't bother. The house prices are horrendous, the only work is in the summer and as for the locals? They hate everyone not from cornwall with a vengeance! They will be as nice as pie for the first 6 months and then turn their backs to you for the next 20 years.
Go to Pembrokeshire, it is even more lovely, the locals are friendly and there is more work.

House prices are sky high down here because people moving in and buying up second homes. Cornwall has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. Do you really want to bother?

Falmouth is a nice place to live, since its central and near Truro. Has access to many places n,w,e,s including great beaches of St Ives/Hayle. But house prices aren't so cheap any longer!
