where in the highlands would you like to go as i live up here but diffrent areas vary in the big town`s inverness abredeen and fortwilliam life is at a steady pace but not fast enough to break a sweat but if you go rural well the pace is as fast as you want it to be just make sure you have enough food and coal to keep you going over the winter month if you move to a very rural area
and is you want to sample life take a short break up here

we were thinking of moving there also and did a lot of research on the net. if you type in shetlands.com then go around their site, you will find 'life in the highlands', this will tell you all about it. by the way, in summer is is daylight for 23 hours!
