My laundry hamper smells absolutely wretched. All that is in there is about a week's worth of laundry, but it smells like the dumpster behind Long John Silver's. I know baking soda is supposed to fight odors, but I dont know where to put it. I dont want to do my laundry more often, so I need to know a good deodorizer.

I am looking to paint my bedroom. I have medium darkness hardwood floors, wood furniture (roughly the same darkness), and a dark blue comforter. I am not very good with colors and am looking for a paint that would go well with that combination.

My tv set has about 4 inches of lines starting at the very top. They are transparent, but seem to flicker a bit and distort the image sometimes. Is there a way to fix this easily?

I saw this once on a Japanese show, they have a law requiring that at least 20% of the tops of buildings should be covered in greenery.

How do people, who don't have enough money, buy homes? I mean do they get government aid? How good of credit should we have to buy home? I have seen many people who are not that well off buy homes. Is there a trick to it, that I don't know? Ok, I know that sounds stupid. Or is there?

My husband bought me a Japanese Maple for my birthday that will grow to be about 20 ft. tall. I had planned to plant a dwarf variety in the bed in front of my house. Can I do that will a regular variety? Will trimming it work to keep it in line, or should I return it for a dwarf tree?

Occassionally we have black (purple) water come from our faucet when first turned on..it eventually goes away. There is virtually no smell to this discolored water and it has come from the kitchen sink faucet, bathroom sink faucet, toilet bowl and now I believe our swimming pool (as the water is very murky all of a sudden)....does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Its so odd, i just cant remove my lawn mower blade.

The blade is attached to the mower using 3 bolts. The center bolt (which has the "37" written on it) is larger than the 2 others (which are located on either side of this center bolt). The 2 smaller bolts each have a nut screwed on, on the other side of the blade (towards the housing) making it difficult to get a grip and unscrew off so as to release these 2 bolts. The center bolt does not have a nut because it seems to just be screwed into some large base in the center of the mower -- its the area that makes the mower spin.

Now with that information, what tools must i use to get my blade removed? Are there specific sizes of tools i need for those bolts (recall i mentioned the center bolt says "37" on it.

I love that place....Its just about the cheapest place to buy a book, the only problem is we usually end up spend way more than we intended to. I also love the free food samples...if you time it right, you don't even need to eat lunch.

I was washing the outside of my windows the other day and discovered that we had gotten concrete splashed on a couple of our windows when we were putting a rock border around the bottom of the house. I washed the windows with white vinegar and water and of course did not take it off, any idea of what I can use to get it off with? I think I have some hydrochloric acid around here, would that work?
