How can I make my laundry hamper smell better? I just opened it and nearly vomited from the smell?

My laundry hamper smells absolutely wretched. All that is in there is about a week's worth of laundry, but it smells like the dumpster behind Long John Silver's. I know baking soda is supposed to fight odors, but I dont know where to put it. I dont want to do my laundry more often, so I need to know a good deodorizer.

I would spray Fabreeze deoderizer in it each time u empy it to do wash...and dont let wash pile up or put wet things in hamper..drape wet towels to dry first

Well, you're not alone. I gave my hamper up for that very reason. Each person now has their own laundry basket or two. The odor is still there but it isn't captive like in the hamper. Guess you could try a little Fabreze. I just got a kitchen garbage can with a lid and that poor thing is pretty stinky, too, even though the garbage goes out at least once a day.

Have you tried using one of those stick on air fresheners? Just put that on the inside of the hamper, and it should work.

You could also try just washing out the hamper. Use hot water and baking soda. Let it stand for a few minutes with the solution in there (maybe 10 minutes). Then let the hamper completely dry before putting clothes in there.

Listen buy some Tide and throw away you hamper air where ever you keep your hamper. The (room) and buy a new. Wash your clothes at least once a week maybe on Sunday. When your free. That why your clothes smell. If they get wet and you keep them in the hamper. They well smell like mildew. OK, so please wash them on the regular.

There may be a weeks worth of laundry but how do you expect to smell if you were the cloths for a month.

Oh, and your suppose to use soap when you wash your cloths.

get a box of baking soda open it and pour it i in the bottom of the hamper you can even just pour it on the bottom ,because if you put some in your washer with em it freshen the laundry

i take advantage of Purex complete Crystals Softener in my wash & my outfits smell superb for a lengthy time period. there is also a product like the purex one, even if that is by using Downy. i imagine that is called Unstopables. both are by using the laundry cleansing soap interior the save. My admired is the sparkling Spring Waters fragrance by using Purex. desire this enables :)

Try a piece of charcoal in a paper bag in the bottom of the hamper or put pieces of cedar woodchips in a paper bag and leave it in the bottom of the hamper.

the best way is to put like 2 boxes of baking soda around so that it can abosor the smell

You could put 2 or 3 dryer sheets in it or spray the inside with air freshener.
