A great deal of DIY projects have gone on in the four years and they even expanded square footage by raising the attic/roof for more space.

I see professional ads that claim to restore your brick walls; how do they do it? Are chemicals involved? Power washers? Could it be done by a homeowner with a lot of patience?

I had this pan with serious burnt-on deposits. I put it in the dishwasher. It came out shiny and new.

Made me wonder: what on earth goes on in there? What's in those little tablets? It must be sulphur and brimstone, sprayed around in the very fires of hell.

So if, hypothetically, I had a body to get rid of, would one go in the dishwasher do the job? Would it atomise and disappear down the drain, or would I have a nice clean white shiny skeleton for my next problem?

It's a great washing machine - German, four years old. Lately it's developed this damp smell which sometimes the clothes pick up. What do I do?

I'm wondering if my A/C unit is about to go out on the fritz... It seems to be cooling properly. However, it sounds like one of those claming fountains with trickling water, or a fish tank... There is no pooling of water inside the house. I'm just wondering if it's normal to be hearing that. If it's not normal, is there something I can do to fix it without having to call a repairman?

I always like to keep my oven clean and wash it after each use either by soap and water or a spray if it is heavily stained. I am looking for an alternative to the spray as it's fumes are not good for me healthwise, any suggestions?

My jicama sprouted before I could eat it and my curiosity and love of plants took over so I let it grow. I know it's a vine and is supposed to have showy flowers but I have no idea if I can keep it growing to the point of blooming. It has some big 3-part leaves and it's vining away (hope I have room) but the tuber/bulb is shrinking. I water it cautiously. Now what?

For the wiring diagram on the LEFT SIDE what does the lines above "C" and "NC" mean? Does it mean a standard wire hooks these two areas together? Or some grounding terminology? But doesnt the "C" also connect to the "Live wire" (notice the "L" line below "C").
